Early Intervention Program

The NICU has a highly trained team of developmental specialists to evaluate each NICU admission for potential neurodevelopmental impairment. A team of speech therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists and early intervention specialists discusses the patients with the medical team and develops a plan for use while in the NICU and after discharge.

Referrals are also made post-discharge to appropriate treatment programs within the community.
